Frequently asked questions
What buyers and suppliers usually ask DBP before we start working together. Can’t find your answer? Message us on Zalo, WhatsApp or LINE: +84 968 279 144.
Ordering & quotes
Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
There is no fixed minimum — quantity depends on each order. DBP advises you on the right loading option: full container load (FCL) or less than container load (LCL).
What information do I need to send to get a quote?
The product and its intended use, technical specifications, packing, volume (first order and expected annual volume), port of destination, delivery terms and when you need the goods. If you already have a specification sheet, you can attach it to the quote form.
How soon will I get a reply?
DBP replies within one business day (Vietnam time, GMT+7). A detailed quotation is sent once the specifications are clear enough.
Which delivery terms are your quotes based on?
Usually FOB at a Vietnamese port, or CIF/CFR to your port of destination. Prices, Incoterms and delivery times are quoted per request, based on specification, packing and port of destination.
Does DBP send samples before the contract is signed?
Yes. DBP sends samples with a certificate of analysis so that your laboratory can test and approve them before the contract is signed. Sample terms are discussed for each product.
Quality & documents
Does each lot come with its own certificate of analysis?
Yes. The certificate of analysis (COA) is issued by an independent laboratory for the actual lot being shipped. It is sent with the shipping documents, or before delivery if you request it.
How does DBP inspect the goods?
DBP checks specification, moisture or Brix, packing and labels at the factory before container loading, then sends you actual photos before the container leaves the warehouse.
Whose certifications are shown on the website?
The certifications belong to DBP’s partner factories, packing houses and orchards, and differ by factory. Copies of the certificates are sent with the documentation on request.
Which documents come with a shipment?
Depending on the product and market, usually a certificate of analysis, a certificate of origin (C/O), a phytosanitary or health certificate where required, a commercial invoice, a packing list and a bill of lading.
What if the goods arrive off-specification?
Specifications and the claims procedure are set out in the contract. DBP works with the factory to verify the issue using the certificate of analysis, the inspection photos and retained samples from the lot, and to resolve it.
Shipping & payment
Which ports does DBP ship to?
From Hai Phong, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Cat Lai and Cai Mep to your port of destination — for example Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe or Hakata in Japan, and other ports worldwide on request. Shipping line and schedule are confirmed for each order.
How are frozen products shipped?
In reefer containers kept at −18 °C for the whole voyage. Reference loading for IQF lines: 9–10 tonnes per 20' reefer container, 22–23 tonnes per 40' reefer container.
What payment terms do you accept?
The payment method and schedule (for example T/T or L/C) are agreed in the contract for each order.
What is the delivery lead time?
It depends on the product, volume and season. DBP gives you a specific delivery time together with the quotation so you can plan ahead.
Products
Which product groups does DBP offer?
Seven groups: sea salt; fresh fruits and vegetables; coconut and by-products; frozen fruits and vegetables; dried fruits; canned and cup fruits; bamboo shoots — more than 120 products in the 2026 catalogue.
Can you work to my own specifications and packing?
Yes. Cut, Brix, piece size, packing, shipping marks and labels are agreed to your requirements in the specification sheet.
Is fresh fruit seasonal?
Yes. Each fruit has its own supply calendar from our partner orchards and packing houses; many items are also available frozen all year round. See the supply calendar on the fresh fruit page.
What if the product I need is not in the catalogue?
Send us the specifications and volume — DBP will look for a suitable source in Vietnam and reply within one business day.
